Waqf bill what did the jpc member say in the widely shared video if this bill is passed
"The Speaker provided 40 staff members and every single suggestion was scrutinised," says Jagdambika Pal, who says the report is ready to be submitted in the upcoming budget session. In Parliament, a room was reserved.

The Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) chairman, Jagdambika Pal, declared on Saturday that a thorough report on the Bill would be presented at the next Parliamentary Budget session. "The report's final stages of preparation are currently underway. "We will present it to Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla during the Budget session," Pal stated following a six-hour meeting with Patna stakeholders.
The Bill has elicited strong responses from a variety of communities since it was introduced in the Lok Sabha during the 2024 monsoon session. There have already been stakeholder meetings in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Kolkata and Lucknow are the locations of the next sessions. "The meeting in Patna went well. Stakeholders answered questions from JPC members and offered suggestions," Pal said.
Political parties have been debating the Bill, but Pal emphasised the thorough research process. "The amendment bill's 34 articles and subsections were the subject of much discussion. We spoke with Bihar and Jharkhand stakeholders at Patna. "Everything will be covered in the final report," he stated.
JD(U) MP Dileshwar Kamat is a member of the committee, but TMC MP and JPC member Kalyan Banerjee criticised the lack of JD(U) representatives. "CM Nitish Kumar needs to make clear the position of his party. Political hesitancy is demonstrated by skipping the meeting, Banerjee stated.
Social workers, religious leaders, academics, and political figures such as Congress MP Dr. Javed, RJD MLC Kari Sohaib, and AIMIM MLA Anwarul Haque were among the stakeholders. While fulfilling its mandate, the JPC report seeks to balance different points of view.
