Vaibhav Suryavanshi is still breaking age records; before this, he was the youngest player to represent India U19 and compete in a Ranji Trophy match.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old batting star, keeps breaking records. The left-handed batsman broke a record that had stood for 25 years when he became the youngest player to ever be sold in an Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in November, selling to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore.
He is now the youngest Indian player to ever play in a List A match. After making his debut for Bihar against Madhya Pradesh on Saturday in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, India's domestic one-day tournament, Suryavanshi shattered the record.
Suryavanshi, who is 13 years and 269 days old, easily surpasses the previous record set by Ali Akbar, who played for Vidarbha in the 1999–00 season at the age of 14 years and 51 days.

Suryavanshi's debut, however, wasn't great as he was dismissed for four runs in two balls. Aryan Anand Pandey removed Suryavanshi the very next delivery after he had smashed the opening ball for a boundary.
Madhya Pradesh easily outnumbered Bihar, which could only muster 196. Rajat Patidar of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) hit a half-century, and Venkatesh Iyer, who was signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 23.75 crore, finished the match undefeated.
In November, Suryavanshi was acquired by the former champion Rajasthan Royals, earning him his first IPL contract. Rahul Dravid, the renowned Indian batter and coach, will keep an eye on him when he plays for RR.
Suryavanshi then made an impression at the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup, scoring 176 runs at an average of 76 and a remarkable strike rate of 145 in five games.
