Watch: Rahul Dravid comforts a distraught Virat Kohli following yet another petty dismissal.
This year's cricket spectacular saw Virat Kohli score in the single digits for the sixth time; he currently stands at a mere 75 runs in seven innings at an average of 10.71. In the semi-final match against undefeated India, England captain Jos Buttler had earlier won the toss and chosen to field first. The outfield was soaked due to heavy early-morning rain, which caused an 80-minute delay in the toss. After just eight overs in the Indian innings, the rain came again, with Rohit Sharma (37*) and Suryakumar Yadav (13*) bringing the team to 65 for two.
The leading batsman for India, Virat Kohli, went for a meagre 9-ball 9 in the second semi-final match against the reigning champions, England, in Guyana on Thursday, continuing his run of poor performances at the T20 World Cup.
India was reduced to 19 for 1 in the third over when Kohli was bowled out, trying in vain to smack left-arm paceman Reece Topley on the on-side.
It was the 7 score in the single digits for Kohli at the cricket spectacular this year. His current 7-inning total is just 75 runs at an average of 10.71.
