KL Rahul set a new IPL record and made history against his former team.

There was an opportunity and a tradition. KL Rahul made the most of it and set the IPL's highest record. The unique aspect is that he set this record against the same squad that he played for and captained until the previous season.

KL Rahul responded appropriately to the team that had shown him the way out, using his play rather than words. The fastest batsman to reach 5000 runs in the IPL is now KL Rahul. He has broken the record of David Warner.

Rahul broke David Warner's record

David Warner still holds the record for the fastest 5000 runs scored in the IPL. Rahul has now reached his five thousand runs in just 130 innings, whereas he had previously reached this milestone in 135 innings. Virat Kohli, the third name on this list, played 157 innings and reached the 5,000-run milestone.

AB de Villiers had played 161 IPL innings at the time and scored a significant amount of runs. Regarding Shikhar Dhawan, he has amassed 5,000 runs in 168 innings. KL Rahul has been outstanding all season long. There were rumors that Rahul was considering taking over as captain of the Delhi Capitals, but he declined and chose to play under Akshar Patel's leadership instead. Rahul was successful with this move, and he is now playing excellently.

Rahul completed a brilliant half-century

The Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have faced off in two games this season. Delhi prevailed in both games. Rahul wasn't present during the previous match between these two, but he showed off his flair by batting brilliantly during this one. During this time, he also reached his half-century.

He played an unbeaten innings of 57 runs in 42 balls. Rahul first completed his half-century. After this, he scored 5000 runs by taking one more run and after this he gave victory to his team by hitting a brilliant six. This is Rahul's third half-century in this year's IPL.

Sanjeev Goenka kept staring

LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka was looking at KL Rahul as he batted brilliantly against his former team, the Lucknow Super Giants. Whenever Rahul was batting well, the camera was always going towards Sanjeev. He was looking very disappointed. He left KL Rahul and included Rishabh Pant in his team for 27 crores, who has been continuously flopping. Now Sanjeev Goenka must be regretting his decision.
