TCS Q3 Results: TCS profit jumps to ₹ 12,380 crore, know net income and full details
TCS Q3 Results: On Thursday, the company's stock closed at Rs 65 per share on BSE, while the benchmark index declined 0.68 per cent.
The country's largest IT company TCS ( TATA )on Thursday reported an 11.95 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 12,380 crore in the December quarter. The Tata Group company had posted a net profit of Rs 11,058 crore in the same quarter a year ago and Rs 11,909 crore a quarter ago. Its total income in the third quarter rose 6.13 per cent to Rs 65,216 crore from Rs 61,445 crore in the year-ago quarter and was higher than Rs 64,988 crore in the previous September quarter, PTI reported.

Dividend also announced
TCS has also announced an interim dividend of ₹10 per share and a special dividend of ₹66 per share to shareholders as interim dividend. The company's third interim dividend and special dividend will be paid to shareholders on February 3, with a record date of January 17. The IT company's revenue grew 5.6 per cent to Rs 63,973 crore, while in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, the company had earned Rs 60,583 crore. When a company goes dividend-free on a particular date, its stock does not have the value of the next dividend payment marked on it. TCS paid a total dividend of Rs 75 on five occasions in 2024. In 2023, it paid a dividend of Rs 117, while the total dividend payout in 2022 was Rs 45.
TCS employee count reduced
According to the news, the total expenditure of TCS increased by 6.33 percent to Rs 48,550 crore, from Rs 45,658 crore in the same quarter a year ago. TCS shares closed at Rs 4,036, down 1.72 percent. On Thursday, the company's stock closed at Rs 65 per share on the BSE, while the benchmark index fell 0.68 percent. The business reported in a statement that at the end of the quarter, it had 6,07,354 employees, a decrease of more than 5,000.
