IIIT Delhi invites applications for admissions in MTech, PhD programmes | Details here

For the 2023 MTech and PhD classes, the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) is looking for applicants. The deadline to submit online applications for the MTech courses is April 23, and the deadline for the PhD program is April 16.

In order to increase a student's breadth and depth of knowledge, the PhD program at IIIT Delhi emphasizes extensive research followed by focused research. Both the regular admissions process and the rolling admissions process are used to admit students. Every year, regular admissions for all fields are made between February and April and September and November.

In addition to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Computational Biology (CB), Mathematics, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Human Centered Design, IIIT-Delhi will offer PhD programs this year.

"The objective of the PhD program at IIIT-Delhi is to enable understudies to turn out to be important for the worldwide examination environment and add to investigate associations and top-class colleges across the world.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The program is based on models of best practices from world-class universities. In addition to the regular program, IIIT-Delhi is accepting applications for its M Tech program in fields such as CSE with specializations in Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, Information Security, Mobile Computing, ECE with specializations in Communication and Signal Processing, VLSI and Embedded Systems, and Computational Biology. We have also started a focused collaborative PhD program with selected partner groups/institutes around the world.

Although a master's degree can serve as a stepping stone for research, IIIT Delhi is of the opinion that it is primarily focused on the industry. The MTech program at IIIT-Delhi is credit-based, which means that students must take specific courses to graduate.

“We believe that it is desirable to provide specializations within CSE and ECE in the MTech program in order to address the needs of the industry, which today requires more specialized manpower as each field becomes more complex. The Institute allows students to pursue an "MTech" or "MTech with specialization" in recognition of this.
