While criticizing Pakistan's performance, Akmal stated that this loss represents the worst disrespect towards the squad.

"One of the worst insults to Pakistani cricket is losing in the Super Over. This is the biggest insult that conceivably exists. The USA performed remarkably well. They didn't seem like the underdogs. They appeared to be placed ahead of Pakistan. They demonstrated that degree of maturity," Akmal stated on his YouTube channel.

"They earned to win because they played better cricket than we did. Our cricket's visage has been exposed. It demonstrates the direction we are headed with cricket," he continued.

For a while, Pakistan had the upper hand in the game. They reduced the number of boundaries that approached and, in a defensive move, held on to 15 runs in the final over.

"The Pakistan cricket team gave a disgraceful performance. It's okay if they lose to powerful teams like England. It's okay if they lose after putting up a strong battle against the opposition. However, losing against a squad that hasn't played as many games," Akmal remarked.

"The humiliating aspect of the loss is that we drew the game at first and then lost in the Super Over. We will never forget this day," he said.

After the defeat, questions were raised about Pakistan's choice of the team. Former cricket players, such as Ramiz Raja, the former head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), have questioned the team's selection process.

Akmal expressed his disapproval of the administration, claiming that consideration is given to the preferences of certain individuals in the selection process.

"Players are chosen based on their likes and dislikes. Although a player participated in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), what about the previous three series in which he was unable to participate? Akmal asserted.

On Sunday, Pakistan and India, their bitter rivals, will play at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
