The 2023 iPhone Photography Awards winners have been revealed.

The winners of the 16th annual iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) were just announced. These brilliant photographers were chosen from thousands of entries across 14 categories, including travel, lifestyle, architecture, wildlife, and animals, to demonstrate the great potential of iPhone photography.

"Many of this year's winning shots celebrate photography's power to capture the power and joy of what comes next, whether it's a frond preparing to unfurl, a morning mist hovering over a sleepy farm, or a flock of gulls heading to their next destination," stated the iPhone Photography Awards.

The Grand Prize this year awarded to Ivan Silva of Mexico, who also received the 'Photographer of the Year' Award. His winning image, named 'Heroe,' captures the spirit of a little child wearing a Lionel Messi football shirt and feeling on top of the world, expressing a sense of shared victory and delight. This was captured with an iPhone 12 Pro.

The IPPAWARDS, founded in 2007, are the first and longest-running iPhone photography competition, celebrating the ability of mobile devices to take beautiful photographs.

The competition also rewarded First, Second, and Third Place Winners in addition to the Grand Prize Winner.

Thea Mihu of Germany won First Place Photographer of the Year for her photograph 'Soy Sauce Village,' which caught a man's loneliness and concentrate in Hung Yen Province, Hanoi, Vietnam, and was taken on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Sasa Borozan of Bosnia and Herzegovina won Second Place for his photograph 'Taming Waves,' which depicted a youngster labouring alongside the water and was taken on an iPhone 13 Pro.
